The Baia dei Turchi is a place that certainly needs no introduction. This suggestive stretch of coastline offers endless emotions to the thousands of travellers who decide to visit this area every year, especially during the summer season; thanks to its fine white sandy beaches, the contagious blue of its transparent waters, and the surrounding natural panorama, the Baia dei Turchi is undoubtedly one of the most renowned tourist areas in Europe. Among the many characteristic coves that characterise the Baia dei Turchi, one of them, the Caletta di Toraiello, represents a true jewel that glitters undisputedly for the benefit of lucky patrons. The Caletta di Toraiello is almost swallowed up by the thick Mediterranean scrub that grows spontaneously almost everywhere along this area and can be reached by following a short stretch of road in close contact with the wild scents of all the vegetation present. Once we arrive at this beautiful bay, a natural spectacle of all respect opens up before our eyes; the cool, transparent sea looks like a natural open-air pool, and the soft white sand colours a small part of this basin surrounded by low cliffs with silver. The whole area is quiet and uncrowded even in the height of the summer season, and once you have seen the place, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a spot to spread your towel and let the warm rays of the sun warm you up for a perfect tan. The sea becomes deep after a few strokes and lends itself wonderfully to snorkelling. The whole bay conveys a sense of wildness and solitude and it is nice to blend in with the surrounding nature, glimpses of a Salento all to be experienced, have a good summer from Caletta di Toraiello.
