The Mannute cliff is located in Santa Maria di Leuca, a marina in the municipality of Castrignano del Capo in the province of Lecce. This characteristic stretch of coastline is ideal for lovers of trekking and climbing. It is in fact a rock face about 50 metres high located in the southern part of Apulia and overlooking the crystal-clear sea of Salento. The cliff is mainly composed of white limestone and is divided into several sections, each with different climbing routes, already marked with different pitons from past experiences and with different degrees of difficulty. Most of the routes are for experienced climbers, but there are also some routes suitable for beginners. Close to the cliff face is the Grotta delle Mannute, a cavity about 20 metres above sea level and characterised inside by the presence of numerous stalactites and stalagmites. The view from the top of the cliff is simply breathtaking, with the sea opening blue towards infinity and the rocky coastline stretching to the horizon. The area is perfect for climbing enthusiasts and those seeking a unique challenge and experience in Salento. Moreover, the Mannute cliff in Santa Maria di Leuca is in a very picturesque and quiet location, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding area is rich in nature, with numerous hiking and biking trails. The entire area is immersed in the green of the typical Mediterranean maquis that alternates with the rocky stretches of the coast. A unique experience full of emotions to be lived intensely, welcome to Santa Maria di Leuca.
