Between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, descending along a suggestive stretch of coastline characterised by rocky terrain with cliffs alternating with small sandy bays, we come across a small, quiet seaside resort, Pilella. We are in Capilungo, a marina forming part of the municipality of Alliste, in the province of Lecce, and the entire surrounding area presents itself to our eyes with the typical colours of the territory; from the green of the Mediterranean maquis to the brown of the rocky coastline to a blue embrace with the beautiful crystal-clear sea at la Pilella. There is a peaceful atmosphere here, and the area is ideal for those seeking relaxation and wishing to spend a relaxing day at the beach. There are few, if any, organised lidos, only stretches of low cliffs and a sea that lends itself marvellously to snorkelling or even a healthy, regenerating swim. Spotting an inviting rock will not be difficult once you arrive at the Pilella, and then you can spread out your towel, open your favourite magazine and relax under the warm Salento sun for a perfect tan to make your colleagues envious when you return to work. Scent of a real holiday and pleasant sensations from an inviting part of Puglia, many greetings from Capilungo.
