Le Ficherelle is a stretch of public beach located in Torre Specchia Ruggeri, a marina in the municipality of Melendugno that has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award several times in the past for the clarity and cleanliness of its wonderful sea. We are on the eastern coast of this magnificent land called Salento, and going up the coast from Torre Specchia Ruggeri to the marina of San Cataldo we come across this beautiful beach that is little frequented even in high season and almost the Cinderella compared to the other more famous beaches on the Adriatic coast. The modestly sized beach blends with the greenery of the typical Mediterranean maquis in a naturalistic embrace worthy of note; the crystal-clear sea is shallow for long stretches and has a few small rocks that do not cause any discomfort whatsoever. Le Ficherelle beach is frequented by both families and people looking to relax and enjoy a well-deserved day at the beach by bathing in these regenerating waters and then lying under the warm rays of the Salento sun for a perfect tan. Scent of true summer at Ficherelle, happy holidays.
