Paterte beach is located in Marina di Mancaversa, a locality belonging to the municipality of Taviano in the province of Lecce. We are on the Ionian side of Salento and continuing south along a suggestive stretch of coast we come across this beautiful beach; Paterte beach has points of low, practicable cliffs that mix with a tongue of soft, golden sand. The whole area is sparsely frequented even in high season and retains that wild and solitary aspect; we are only a few kilometres south of the more famous Gallipoli but Paterte beach presents its characteristics of an area worth visiting to enjoy a well-deserved day in the sun. The sea is shallow for long stretches and retains that blue colour that is so transparent you can see your reflection in it; many families with children and people looking to relax, there are few services in the area and this is perhaps the most characteristic aspect of this stretch of coastline, so bring with you a cool bag full of cold drinks, a beach towel, a beach umbrella and have a good summer from the beach of Paterte di Mancaversa.
