Travelling along the Ionian coast in a southerly direction towards Santa Maria di Leuca, amidst the dry stone walls and prickly pear blades that border the surrounding countryside characterised by olive trees alternating with the vast expanses of Mediterranean scrub to colour the beauty of a typical and evocative landscape, we come across a small place called Posto Vecchio. We find ourselves between the marinas of Pescoluse and Torre Vado, in a stretch of coastline that has been known for more than a few years now for its golden beaches, its crystal-clear blue sea with its transparent sandy seabed, and the vast choice of services offered to patrons thanks to the presence of various facilities and equipped lidos that complete the comfort of anyone who wants to stop, even if only for a few hours, to admire and enjoy a true corner of paradise. Posto Vecchio is a small village in the municipality of Salve that is almost desolate in winter, but which knows its splendour during the summer season when it is crowded with tourists and holidaymakers who flock to the beautiful beach in search of a stretch of sand where they can plant their beach umbrella and relax to the lapping of the waves or for a perfect tan. The free beach at Posto Vecchio is especially suitable for families with children, as the clear, cool sea bed maintains a shallow depth for long stretches so that children can play without any major problems for the peace of mind of their parents. The indigenous vegetation frames this beautiful beach, colouring it green. Here you can breathe in an exotic holiday atmosphere far from the tram tram of the big cities and in close contact with unspoilt nature. Small joys and great emotions from Posto Vecchio Beach, happy holidays from Salento.
