Marina di Capilungo is characterised by a beautiful stretch of coastline formed by low, easily accessible cliffs and a clear blue sea. We are on the eastern side of Salento along the shores washed by the Ionian Sea, and this small hamlet in the municipality of Alliste, in the province of Lecce, fills up with tourists and holidaymakers during the summer season. The Marina di Capilungo is located between Posto Rosso and Torre Suda, and the entire landscape alternates between small sandy coves and stretches of reef; access to the sea is easy, the water is shallow for a few metres, and it is ideal for families with children who flock to this stretch of coastline every summer to spend a relaxing day at the beach. Capilungo beach is not far from the town centre so it will not be difficult to find a bar or a supermarket for any need. The place is fantastic, as is much of the stretch of coastline from Gallipoli to Santa Maria di Leuca, so Capilungo, being a not inconsiderable transit point in high season, is the ideal stop for a refreshing swim in these beautiful waters. Happy holidays from Marina di Capilungo.
