The Torre Lapillo beach is a small portion of free beach located on the coast road from Torre Lapillo to Porto Cesareo, in the province of Lecce. In this area it is really difficult to find free beach spots as the presence of lidos and bathing establishments far outnumber the stretches of free beach. This stretch of coastline is characterised by fine white sand and a crystal-clear blue sea; the water maintains a shallow depth for several metres, making it ideal for families with children but also for groups of young people looking for pure fun. The beach is very crowded at the height of summer, as it is located in the centre of town and can be easily reached on foot by people living nearby. It is therefore very difficult both to find a car park and a small portion of the beach to spread your towel and relax. The place is very nice, but you have to choose the period well if you do not want to be swallowed up by a multitude of bathers seeking refreshment. At the Torre Lapillo beach, summer is at home... happy holidays.
