The Marina di Mancaversa beach is located on the Ionian coast of Salento about 15 kilometres south of Gallipoli, in the territory of Taviano in the province of Lecce. This stretch of coastline alternates between points of low cliffs that are easy to walk along and small sandy coves with a few sea pebbles that are clearly visible even as you enter the water; the sea is clear and crystalline and maintains a shallow enough depth to allow families with children to spend a quiet and relaxing day at the beach. The entire stretch of the Marina di Mancaversa beach maintains a solitary and detached aspect compared to the noisy and crowded beaches of Gallipoli, so that here one breathes an air of absolute relaxation and singular tranquillity. In terms of landscape, this stretch of coastline has those unmistakable characteristics in which the green of the Mediterranean maquis blends with the white of the soft sand and the dark grey of an uninterrupted cliff in an explosion of unique colours to which the blue of a wonderful sea is added. An invitation not to be underestimated, speaking of colours, would be to stay until late afternoon to admire a fairytale sunset and watch the sun gently disappearing over the horizon, but it is one thing to describe certain sensations and another to experience them first-hand, this is the magic of a Salento summer, happy holidays.
