Baia Imperia is a beautiful inlet surrounded by unspoiled nature located in Otranto in the province of Lecce. We are on the south-eastern side of Salento and this stretch of coast is characterized by high cliffs that fall sheer to the sea; Baia Imperia has this specific characteristic, the place is hardly practicable if you see it from the perspective of the mainland being the wild, lonely coastal stretch from which it is practically impossible to access the sea; the ideal would be to rent a small boat and go to discover the most hidden corners of this charming bay, surrounded by a transparent and crystal clear sea, pride and beauty of much of the territory of Otranto. However, the fact remains that the area, from whichever side you look at it, transmits strong sensations if we consider the contrast of colors that draw this wonderful landscape; ranging from the green of the typical Mediterranean scrub that grows wild a bit "everywhere to the white of the limestone rocks and around all an infectious blue of these very fresh waters. Baia Imperia is a secluded paradise, and perhaps the fact that it is little or not at all frequented given its wild appearance represents the real strength of this area, thus maintaining that tenuous environmental balance that preserves its integrity.
