The Grotta del Carmine represents another pearl of the natural beauty that this beautiful land called Salento offers to the many tourists who every summer decide to spend part of their time in this remote corner of Puglia. The Grotta del Carmine is located in Marina Porto, a small hamlet of the municipality of Tricase in the province of Lecce; the surrounding landscape offers a spectacular panorama with the green Mediterranean scrub covering most of the promontories that end directly in the sea. The view is spectacular along this stretch of coast characterized by low cliffs and hidden inlets all to be discovered; completing this wonderful setting is a crystal clear blue sea with the seabed rich in marine fauna and attractive plays of light filtering through the various crevices between the rocks. Perhaps a bit complicated to find parking given the very small village of this beautiful Salento community, for the rest the Grotta del Carmine is easily accessible, and once you get inside you will feel as if kidnapped by time; the deep blue of the waters that are reflected inside the cave conveys emotions that cannot find words to be described, an unusual silence surrounds much of this sea cavity, and a sense of peace and tranquility characterize a unique experience, which should be lived in first person in order to appreciate certain sensations. The Grotta del Carmine is a natural beauty of all respect, both for the simplicity with which it is presented and for the surrounding landscape that is mixed with the various colors that nature so generously dispenses.
