Grotta delle Tre Porte is located in Felloniche, a marina in the municipality of Patù in the province of Lecce. We are on the western side of Salento, in the deep south of this beautiful land, and the whole surrounding area is characterized by a rocky expanse that is mixed with the green of the typical Mediterranean scrub and with high cliffs that fall sheer to the sea. The name Grotta delle Tre Porte (Cave of the Three Gates) is due to the fact that the three entrance mouths of this characteristic cave, one of the many sea caves that complete a wonderful landscape, are clearly evident. The interior of the cave conveys strong emotions, beautiful are the striking play of light due to the reflection of the water with the rocky walls that in some parts of the cave see the presence of stalactites and stalagmites. The sea all around is the real wealth of this area, blue and transparent the cool waters of this stretch of coast are ideal for a regenerating bath, or for those who like to snorkel so as to visit the rich seabed. The ideal would be to rent a small boat and explore the entire stretch of coastline, pampered by the waves of the sea while being massaged by that light summer breeze that completes the pleasures of a wonderful vacation.
