Porticciolo di Torre Vado is a marina located in the municipality of Morciano di Leuca, in the province of Lecce. This quaint spot is located on the Ionian coast of Salento, about 5 km north of Santa Maria di Leuca, and the harbor is well equipped to accommodate small and medium-sized boats, with floating docks, toilets, showers and fueling points. The small port of Torre Vado is an ideal place to set off to explore the beaches and hidden coves of the Salento coast, or to enjoy activities such as sport fishing or snorkeling. The town of Torre Vado, which takes its name from the 16th-century coastal tower located near the center, is a tourist resort renowned for its fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters; specifically, the stretch of coastline near the marina includes small sandy inlets that are mixed with a few spots where there are low, practicable cliffs. The area is also famous for its production of high-quality olive oil and for its typical Salento cuisine, which features dishes based on fresh fish and local products.
