Posto Rosso

Posto Rosso - Alliste

Posto Rosso is a small hamlet of the municipality of Alliste in the province of Lecce; located on the coast road that connects Gallipoli to Santa Maria di Leuca Posto Rosso is characterized by its low, easily practicable cliffs that end directly in the sea and a beautiful stretch of coastline bathed by the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea. For diving lovers it will not be difficult to locate a spot from which to feel that unique thrill of being projected into the water in a fraction of a second; the whole area of Posto Rosso is filled with tourists and vacationers during the summer season, the seabed is a mix of sand and rocks and lends itself wonderfully to those who love snorkeling so as to go in search of the beautiful play of light that is reflected among the ravines of this stunning coastline. Posto Rosso is also known as Cisternella (small cistern), as along this bay there are several freshwater currents that make the sea, in some places, particularly cold so that it is therefore pleasant to take a swim in the middle of the season to alleviate that sense of discomfort due to the summer heat. Here there is an air of absolute relaxation, many families and tourists looking for an inviting rock where they can spread their towels and enjoy a relaxing day at the beach.Welcome to Salento and greetings from Posto Rosso.
