Conca Specchiulla - Melendugno
Salento is a land that constantly amazes the traveler intrigued by the infinite beauty that this territory presents; expanses of soft white sand alternate with rocky ridges that fall sheer to the sea, unspoiled and solitary oases surrounded by the green of thick pine forests and stretches of Mediterranean scrub with all the characteristic scents of herbs that grow wild almost everywhere. Framing this stupendous panorama is the deep transparent blue of a sea that certainly needs no introduction, and it is above all the Adriatic coast, between Otranto and Melendugno specifically, that gives us true natural open-air swimming pools with the purity of the waters that have been awarded in the past with the prestigious Blue Flags recognition. Well, the Conca Specchiulla Beach fits right into this environmental context; we are a few kilometers north of Otranto, on the eastern side of the Salento coast and the Conca Specchiulla Beach represents a true corner of paradise on earth lost in time and extraneous, thank God, to the kind of mass tourism that populates the southern coasts of Puglia every summer. Once you arrive at this characteristic inlet you will be surprised by the contagious calm and the unspoiled and absolutely wild environment; few or no services, forget the equipped lidos and bar kiosks, here you need to bring only the bare minimum, your rock shoes, a cooler bag full of cold drinks, beach towel, mask and fins to go and discover these wonderful seabeds with the beautiful plays of light reflecting between the cracks of the cliffs. It takes very little to settle in and experience a relaxing day at the beach in an intimate embrace with all of nature"s surroundings. So if by chance you happen to pop by enjoy this place but with due respect and bring back your garbage bags with you, have a great summer from Conca Specchiulla Beach.
