Conca Specchiulla - Melendugno
San Giorgio Beach lies along a charming stretch of coastline on the southeastern side of Salento, a few kilometers north of Otranto in the province of Lecce. This corner of Puglia surrounded by wild and lonely nature sees the presence of a large and dense pine forest, which always comes in handy in the height of summer for the pleasant areas of shade it provides, in a riot of wild colors enhanced by the scents of the classic Mediterranean scrub alternating with high sand dunes and a low cliff. The Beach of San Giorgio is the ideal place for those seeking direct contact with nature, away from noisy beaches with loud music; here relaxation reigns supreme, the sea remains all in all shallow for long stretches so let your children play in peace, the area is a tad windy but it is a pleasure to be caressed by that summer wind that stimulates our senses of pleasure. Sections of low smooth cliffs alternate with soft white sand so as to please all tastes, so once you arrive in this enchanted corner all you have to do is choose an inviting place to spread your beach towel and enjoy the surrounding landscape while taking advantage of a perfect tan to proudly show off once you get back to work. The whole area turns out to be quiet and uncrowded even at the height of summer, the nearby beaches of Otranto to the south and Melendugno to the north polarize much of the Adriatic coast"s tourism so Conca Specchiulla and Frassanito turn out in these terms to be the lucky Cenerontole where you can find moments of tranquility and well-being so you can enjoy a wonderful day at the beach. What else to add, these places deserve all our respect, take good care of them and bring back the garbage bags with you, have a good summer from San Giorgio Beach.
