Punta Cacata Beach is a stretch of free beach located on the beautiful Ionian Sea at Torre Colimena. This stretch of coastline is characterised by fine white sand in a mix of Mediterranean scrub and high sand dunes. The crystal-clear blue sea is shallow for long stretches and small sea pebbles and scattered stones can also be seen at the entrance to the sea; this particular beach is characterised by the fact that much of its shoreline is formed by flat, slippery rocks, so be careful when entering the water. Punta Cacata beach is a real delight because it fully encompasses the three maxims for those who come to Salento, namely the sun, especially when it sets, the sea, fragrant and wonderful, and the wind that pleasantly caresses our bodies. The total absence of services characterises this lonely and wild place, so I do not recommend it if you are fussy and demanding. This beach is ideal for those in search of tranquillity, especially in the early hours of the morning.
