Spiaggia Barzolla is a small stretch of free beach joined to cliffs in a mixture of Mediterranean scrub and uncultivated rushes. It is located in the Sant"Isidoro marina right next to a large car park used as a weekly market every Sunday. So called because years ago there was an old mussel farm, and by extension, the name of the owners of those plants gave rise to Spiaggia Barzolla. It is a small natural oasis ideal for getting lost and forgetting our daily routine that is always full of work commitments. The sea, shallow at first but with plenty of rocks, opens up in its depth after only a few metres and a swim in these crystal-clear, transparent waters is refreshing. Be careful of the waves when the sea (most of the time) is a little rough. Definitely worth a visit to this small but attractive oasis in the Salento.
