The blue of the transparent sea, the white expanses of soft sand, the embrace of that warm breeze that in summer relaxes and soothes the nerves are all factors that emotionally involve each and every one of us, and it only takes a moment to stop the chatter, the buzz of the crowds on the beach, and concentrate on the lapping of the waves (which in these parts they call rusciu) and the warmth of a Salento summer so full of emotions. We are in Torre Pali, a locality located on the Ionian coast of Salento and falling under the municipality of Salve, in the province of Lecce; the entire stretch of beach that covers Torre Pali stretches for about 5 kilometres and is located between the marinas of Pescoluse and Lido Marini. The special feature of this beach is the presence of the 16th-century tower that, due to coastal erosion caused by frequent atmospheric phenomena, has found itself surrounded by water and now stands as a constant sentinel of this crystal-clear sea. Along the beach, there are numerous bathing establishments offering beach umbrellas, deckchairs, toilets and restaurants. Thanks to its natural beauty, the presence of services and its proximity to other tourist resorts in the Salento, Torre Pali beach is very popular with tourists who decide to spend part of their holidays here every year.
