Marina Serra represents a small natural gem, a small village of Italy that holds a unique wealth as the Natural Open-Air Pool. Located in the municipality of Tricase, in the province of Lecce, Marina Serra overlooks the southeastern side of Salento, there where the Ionian Sea meets the Adriatic Sea in a voluptuous embrace of water currents propelled by that faint summer wind that blows relentlessly along these coasts. The wide cliffs draw a striking landscape made up of small hidden coves, sea caves and a crystal clear blue sea to complete the richness of this area. Once you get to Marina Serra you just have to be lucky to find parking, of course the difficulty also depends on the period, my advice however would be to get there already in the early morning hours; once you have arranged your car, equip yourself with rock shoes or sneakers, a hat and a beach towel, and go ahead towards the coast. In reaching the Marina Serra Natural Pool via a short walk you cannot help but come across what represents a true spectacle of nature, and that is the natural Sea Cave. This natural cavity looks like the work of an expert architect both for the fascinating play of light that the cave offers from its interior and for the bright blue reflections that the water offers in a contrast of striking and enchanting colors. Needless to emphasize how such a spectacle is completely free, just be careful during the descent if you are not fully trained, but once you reach the bottom you will be as if ravished by time in a unique experience and completely isolated from the rest of the world. From the bottom of the cave the glimpse of the circular entrance illuminated by the sun"s rays is incredibly attractive and there is an air of absolute relaxation and privacy. Beautiful emotions that only the natural Sea Cave of Marina Serra can convey for a summer as sparkling as the freshness of this clear sea ... happy vacations from Salento.
