Li Scianuli Torre Squillace
Salento, Sant Isidoro - Nardò: Torre Squillace beach, also known as Li Scianuli, is a small tongue of sand adjacent to the ancient 16th-century tower of the same name. It is a free and uninhabited beach where the sand is quite coarse and full of pebbles so that hanging out the towel could be a bit uncomfortable for the most finicky. Entering the water, which is shallow at first and accessible to all, one immediately notices the natural presence of various sea pebbles and a poorly maintained seabed, but this does not prevent us from cooling off during a hot summer; all we need is a pair of rock shoes. Although of a fairly modest length the beach is characterized by an inlet from which it is easy to reach the cliff for a dip in the pristine blue waters where it is said that Lucio Battisti was inspired by this crystal clear sea and wrote precisely the song Acqua azzurra acqua chiara. Relaxation is assured the beach as well as the nearby cliff is usually frequented by locals who love tranquility and privacy.
Acqua Azzurra

Tuamotu
Salento, Sant Isidoro - Nardò: The beautiful and elegant Tuamotu Lido originates on the reef between St. Isidore and Torre Squillace; the name is taken from the Polynesian archipelago of the same name in the South Pacific Ocean.The lido consists of a long central corridor from which on either side rise small platforms named after the archipelago"s islets. The platforms consist of at least 6 umbrellas and give a sense of space and privacy. Entrance to the water is via a flight of steps at the end of the central corridor. It only takes a few steps to dive into the waters at least three meters deep. Accompanied children. The Tuamotu Lido is also a pizzeria with a wood-fired oven.
Conca del Diavolo
Salento, Sant Isidoro - Nardò: Between Sant"Isidoro and Torre Squillace we find the Conca del Diavolo an inlet carratterized by wide cliffs and stones. Part of the marina of Nardò, this impervious landscape that opens to our eyes with its uncultivated appearance and jagged coastline, instead holds a unique charm and beauty. The landscape, full of inlets and small sea caves remains an enchanting place; the sea immediately becomes deep after a few strokes and is ideal for diving from the numerous stretches of cliffs characterized by indentations that make this stretch of coastline noteworthy. Perhaps not exactly easy to get to and let"s just say that by asking locals for information they are unlikely to be able to tell you the exact spot, even if they know the name, we nonetheless try to help you by pointing out the stretch in the vicinity of the Tuamotu Lido, an eye for children. Petra

Spiaggia Barzolla

It lies in the marina of Sant"Isidoro just adjacent to a large parking lot used as a weekly market every Sunday. So named because years ago there was an old mussel plant, and by extension the name of the owners of those plants has since given rise to Spiaggia Barzolla. It is a small natural oasis ideal for getting lost and forgetting our daily routine always full of work commitments. The sea, shallow at first but still characterized by a large presence of rocks, opens up in its depth after only a few meters and from here a swim in these crystal clear and transparent waters is refreshing. Be careful of the waves when the sea (most of the time) is a tad rough. Definitely worth a visit this small but attractive oasis of Salento.

Further towards the low cliffs a concrete diving board was built from which to dive, in 2020 however a strong sea storm completely destroyed it nevertheless it is possible to continue diving to the delight of bathers. The free bay is well stocked thanks to local activities. In the evening you can enjoy the spectacle of the sunset in the company of beautiful music and good aperitifs.... Spiaggia Frascone
